About the Role

The Medical Laboratory Specialist works under general supervision to perform laboratory and x-ray procedures involving a high degree of independent judgment. This role is part of the Medical Associates of Northwest Arkansas team, which provides comprehensive healthcare for every member of the family at all stages of life.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare laboratory and laboratory equipment and x-ray supplies and equipment for daily operation.
  • Inventory lab and x-ray supplies to ensure sufficient amounts are available.
  • Examine expiration dates of chemicals and replace expired products.
  • Perform shut-down procedures on equipment at end of day.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training.
  • Current phlebotomy certification.
  • X-ray technologist must be licensed by the state of Arkansas.
