They will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, including anticipatory preparation for health maintenance and chronic health care needs, obtaining histories and vital signs, arranging referral and diagnostic testing appointments, and performing other procedures as determined relevant to the individual patient.
The Medical Assistant will work closely with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and will be expected to demonstrate critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and a strong sense of shared responsibility to maintain a beautiful and orderly practice environment.
Key Responsibilities- Active participation in patient care, including anticipatory preparation for health maintenance and chronic health care needs
- Obtaining histories and vital signs, arranging referral and diagnostic testing appointments
- Performing other procedures as determined relevant to the individual patient
- Demonstrating critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and a strong sense of shared responsibility
- Current Basic CPR certification
- Minimum of high school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Graduate of an MGH approved Medical Assistant program
- 1 year + Medical Assistant experience
