About the Role

KurzSolutions is seeking a highly skilled Dietitian and Nutritionist Educator to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing expert nutrition guidance to patients and community members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead weight reduction and exercise programs as needed.
  • Conduct thorough nutritional assessments and gather relevant patient histories.
  • Create personalized care plans for patients at risk of nutritional deficiencies.
  • Record patient data in electronic medical records.
  • Offer nutritional consultations via phone or in-home visits as required.
  • Provide therapeutic diet counseling to patients referred by physicians.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to care for patients with chronic illnesses.
  • Offer nutrition consultation services to community programs as clinic schedules permit.
  • Provide in-service training to client staff as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including Client Privacy Act, HIPAA, and Ethical standards.
  • Submit monthly narrative reports to the Director of Public Health Nursing.
Requirements
  • Current nutrition license in the state of New Mexico.
  • Registration with the American Dietetic Association as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.
  • Degree or diploma from a professional registered nutrition program approved by the state accrediting agency.
  • Certification as a Diabetes Educator.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification.
