Position Overview
The San Diego Community College District is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Paramedic Education Instructor. This position is part-time and will involve teaching at various campuses and continuing education centers.

Compensation
Salary placement is contingent upon the submission of official transcripts and/or foreign degree evaluations. Initial salary will be at the first class/step until all required documentation is provided.
FLSA Status
Exempt (no overtime accrual)
Role Description
As an adjunct faculty member, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Delivering instruction in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines.
- Maintaining professional standards and ethics.
- Staying current with developments in the subject matter.
- Providing quality instruction and fostering an engaging learning environment.
- Keeping accurate records of student performance.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree with four years of mobile intensive care paramedic experience, or an Associate degree with six years of experience.
- Current licensure as a Mobile Intensive Care Paramedic in California or an equivalent out-of-state license.
- A minimum of four years of academic or clinical experience in mobile intensive care within the last five years.
- Recent teaching experience in emergency medical care.
- Completion of relevant instructional courses.
- Current certifications as a BLS Instructor, ACLS Instructor, and PHTLS Instructor.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and policies related to EMT training.
- Demonstrated cultural competency and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds.
