Adjunct Instructor

Job Summary

The Adjunct Instructor - EMT Educator is responsible for educating and training students in Emergency Medical Technician courses. This role involves delivering lectures, labs, and clinical training, as well as assessing student performance and providing feedback.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the lead instructor in delivering course material
Take attendance and maintain accurate records
Follow the syllabus and training plans as outlined by the Training Coordinator and Coordinator Staff
Maintain the EMS Program LMS platform and complete student evaluations in a timely manner
Ensure all class and lab space is properly maintained and equipped
Teach for the entire duration of the class period and maximize instruction time
Follow all rules, regulations, and policies set forth by the Director and Coordinator Staff
Participate in staff meetings and continuing education training as needed
Possess intermediate experience using Windows and the MS Office Suite
Effectively communicate with stakeholders in a professional manner, both verbally and in writing

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an institution recognized by the United States Department of Education
Florida Level A EMS Instructor Certificate
Minimum of three years of experience with an ALS service
BLS, ACLS, and PALS Instructor credentials, as well as NAEMT instructor certification in PHTLS and AMLS within six months of hire
