Senior Director of Maintenance

SEPTA is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Director of Maintenance to lead our Vehicle Overhaul programs and related activities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating the maintenance of our rail fleet, ensuring the highest level of safety, reliability, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement key metrics to measure the effectiveness of our vehicle overhaul programs.
- Modify the VOH program based on KPI results to achieve the highest possible reliability of rail cars.
- Follow up on warranty and contract administration with outside contractors.
- Determine the adequacy of manpower and employee training to ensure excellent performance of all rail fleets.
- Ensure compliance with all pertinent ADA regulations and rules.
- Monitor daily activities and the performance of various overhaul activities.
- Provide leadership and direction to subordinates to correct and improve problem areas and meet established goals.
- Enforce safety regulations and implement safety programs.
- Bachelor's Degree and ten (10) years of relevant Rail Vehicle technical (maintenance, production, engineering) experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years proven progressively responsible supervisory maintenance experience.
- Appropriate Technical/Safety Certification/Qualifications/Licenses, as required by SEPTA, State, Federal regulations.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literacy required.
