Parent Aide Specialist

Northeast Family Services is seeking a dedicated Parent Aide Specialist to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of families affected by abuse and neglect.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in family services, with experience in working with families, children, and communities. You will be responsible for providing coaching and counseling services to parents, assisting them in developing skills to effectively parent their children.
This is a flexible position, requiring most visits to take place during afterschool/evening hours and occasional weekends. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work positively with children and parents with mental health challenges, substance abuse, and/or intellectual disabilities.
The estimated salary for this role is $52,000 - $62,000 per year, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate and coordinate family visitations, transporting children and/or their families as needed.
- Provide high-quality supervision during family visitation time, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Assist families in increasing their skills to effectively parent their children during supervised visitation.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, holding treatment plan meetings as required and as needed.
