Pediatric Healthcare Specialist

FutureRecruit seeks a highly skilled Pediatric Healthcare Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide direct healthcare services to students, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for acute and chronic medical conditions.
About the Role
This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to work in a dynamic school environment, collaborating with teachers, staff, and parents to support student health and well-being. As a Pediatric Healthcare Specialist, you will be responsible for administering medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide direct healthcare services to students, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for acute and chronic medical conditions.
* Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to safety guidelines.
* Monitor and manage student health records, including immunization records, health histories, and individual healthcare plans (IHPs) as needed.
* Collaborate with school personnel, parents/guardians, and healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with specific medical needs.
* Conduct health screenings, such as vision and hearing tests, and coordinate referrals for further evaluation or treatment when necessary.
* Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate first aid, CPR, and other necessary interventions as required.
* Educate students, staff, and parents/guardians on health-related topics, including disease prevention, nutrition, and general wellness.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all healthcare services provided, including incident reports, medication administration records, and health-related communications.
* Collaborate with the school's multidisciplinary team to support students with disabilities and provide accommodations as outlined in their individualized education plans (IEPs).
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Hampshire, with a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a school or pediatric setting. You should also possess strong assessment and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be working closely with students, parents/guardians, and staff members. Additionally, you should be proficient in computer skills, including electronic health record management and basic office software. CPR and First Aid certification are also required.
Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
