Responsibilities and QualificationsThe role involves conducting non-invasive hemodynamic assessments and documenting test results. Key responsibilities include:
- Scheduling patients for vascular procedures.
- Explaining procedures to patients to ensure understanding and cooperation.
- Positioning patients and selecting the appropriate transducer for examinations.
- Performing scanning procedures using ultrasound equipment with precision.
- Completing exams accurately and within designated timeframes.
- Collecting patient history and retrieving prior medical records.
- Coordinating patient flow and verifying completion of all exams.
- Maintaining ultrasound equipment and managing inventory of supplies.
- Keeping department records, reports, and files organized.
- Performing additional duties as required.
- Adhering to all policies and procedures of the organization.
- Upholding the Code of Conduct and the Mission and Values of the organization.
Experience Required:
- A minimum of one year of experience as an ultrasound technologist/sonographer.
Certification/License: Candidates must possess one or more of the following credentials: Registered Vascular Technologist, Registered Cardiac Sonographer, or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, in accordance with state regulations and clinical specialties.
- Certification through ARDMS or ARRT is required.
