About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Vascular Ultrasound Sonographer to join our team at Centerpoint Vascular and General Surgery. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities

  • Perform non-invasive hemodynamic evaluations and write test results
  • Conduct vascular ultrasonic procedures as directed by physicians
  • Schedule patients for procedures and explain procedures to patients to ensure cooperation and optimum test results
  • Position patients and select the appropriate transducer
  • Conduct scanning procedures using ultrasound equipment by moving the scanner over the specified body area and adjusting the equipment to focus
  • Perform exams properly and in a timely manner
  • Take patient history and retrieve previous files
  • Coordinate patient flow and check the daily list to ensure all exams are complete
  • Maintain equipment and order and stock all supplies
  • Maintain department records, reports, and files
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements

  • Minimum one year experience as an ultrasound technologist/sonographer
  • Must hold one or more of the following credentials: Registered Vascular Tech, Registered Cardiac Sonographer, or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in accordance with state regulation and clinical specialty
  • Must have certification through ARDMS or ARRT
