As a Logistics Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to transport paint and related materials to our valued customers. Additionally, you will assist with various in-store tasks during non-delivery periods.
Established in 1952, Painters Supply & Equipment Co. is a premier distributor of automotive and specialty paints, coatings, and related products in the automotive refinish and specialty coatings sectors. We take pride in offering our clients top-tier products from renowned manufacturers. With over 50 locations across multiple states, we serve a diverse customer base and are looking for dedicated individuals to help us maintain our high standards of service and support our rapid expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate delivery vehicles in compliance with all applicable laws while maintaining a clean driving record.
- Ensure the upkeep of the company vehicle and report any maintenance needs to the supervisor.
- Understand and manage delivery documentation as required.
- Identify potential sales opportunities based on customer interactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all assigned areas and equipment.
- Deliver products while meeting customer expectations for quality and service.
- Safely load and secure merchandise for transport.
- Unload products at customer locations as directed, confirming receipt with the appropriate contact.
- Return materials and tools from customers to the store or warehouse as needed.
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner to uphold customer satisfaction.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Prepare paint orders, including mixing standard and custom formulas.
- Assist in order fulfillment according to company policies.
- Collect merchandise from local suppliers as necessary.
- Support inside customer service efforts, including order processing and customer assistance.
- Answer phone inquiries professionally, providing knowledgeable responses and taking orders.
- Load and unload products from delivery vehicles.
- Match packing slips with purchase orders accurately.
- Dispose of waste materials in accordance with company and regulatory guidelines.
- Assist with periodic inventory checks as required.
- Perform any additional tasks or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid driver's license in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Must maintain an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds consistently.
- Candidates must pass a drug screening and meet Motor Vehicle Report standards during the hiring process.
