Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our properties, including buildings, grounds, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain building and grounds in a clean, orderly, and safe condition
  • Perform minor and routine painting, plumbing, janitorial, and other related maintenance activities
  • Ensure all repairs are handled in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Initiate, perform, and oversee maintenance projects up to $300
  • Work with the Community Manager to anticipate and plan for maintenance needs
  • Pick up trash and maintain grounds, including landscaping and fence repair
  • Maintain sidewalks and parking lots, including painting lines and stencils
  • Clean and turnover vacant apartments to make them rent-ready
  • Schedule and conduct pre-move out inspections and reporting
  • Regularly check smoke detectors, change appliance filters, and perform other inspections
  • Requisition supplies and purchase tools and equipment
  • Prepare and complete maintenance requests and work orders
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance inspections of all units
  • Notify the Community Manager of safety-related issues and lease agreement violations
  • Respond promptly to after-hours calls and complete necessary repairs
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of related experience and/or equivalent combination of experience in a trade such as electrical, plumbing, and painting
  • Associate degree (A.A.) preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Valid Driver's License and insurance required
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
  • Ability to problem solve and deal with a variety of situations
