Maintenance Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Avenue5 Residential. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing various maintenance functions, including repairs and preventative maintenance, to ensure the highest standards of customer service and curb appeal at our properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work
  • Conduct proactive preventative maintenance, including siding, painting, and lighting
  • Inspect property grounds, buildings, and common area amenities to maintain safety and cleanliness standards
  • Assist with property emergencies, such as snow removal and other inclement weather emergencies
  • Promptly communicate with maintenance leadership concerning all maintenance issues at the property

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least one year of experience in the property management industry or directly related field
  • General maintenance and carpentry skills
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
