Role Overview - Veterinary Sales Representative:

We are in search of a Veterinary Sales Representative to promote Prudent Pet's insurance products across veterinary clinics in the Chicagoland area. The ideal candidate will have a background in selling pet insurance to veterinary practices, with a focus on virtual sales and occasional in-person meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies targeting veterinarians and related organizations.
  • Create targeted lists for outreach and initiate the sales process.
  • Conduct outreach and marketing efforts to potential clients.
  • Onboard new clients with the necessary tools to promote Prudent Pet.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with clients.
  • Collaborate with internal sales teams to ensure smooth transitions for customers.
  • Establish metrics for onboarding success and client engagement.
  • Review performance reports with management.

Reporting Structure:

This position reports directly to the President and collaborates with the Sales Support Team, Technical and Operational teams, and other key personnel.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in selling pet insurance to veterinary clinics.
  • Proven track record in sales within the veterinary sector.
  • Strong lead generation and networking skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Outstanding presentation skills for diverse audiences.
  • Goal-oriented, coachable, and confident professional.

Compensation Structure:

Base Salary: $70k-$80k, with commission paid quarterly based on new business and renewals. As the distribution channel expands, commission is expected to represent a significant portion of total compensation.
