About the Role
Abacus Technology Corporation is seeking a seasoned professional to fill the position of Security Manager. This is a full-time opportunity that requires a high level of expertise in safeguarding information, property, personnel, operations, and materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for analyzing and evaluating the character, background, and history of employees, candidates for employment, and other persons having or proposed to be granted access to classified or other sensitive information, materials, or work sites.
- Exercise delegated access control to secure areas, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information.
- Assist in opening and closing controlled areas, arming and disarming facility alarm systems as required, and accomplishing end-of-duty day security checks.
- Recommend and implement measures to prevent unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, assault, vandalism, espionage, sabotage, or loss of sensitive information and assets.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in security management, including at least 3 years in a DoD environment.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or additional years of experience may be substituted for degree requirements.
- Thorough knowledge of Federal government, DoD, and Air Force guidelines, policies, procedures, and regulations as they pertain to security.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- US citizenship and a current Secret clearance.
Security Clearance
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
