Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Board-Certified Physician to join our team as a Medical Director at East Central Regional Hospital (ECRH) in Augusta, Georgia. As a Medical Director, you will be responsible for providing exceptional medical care to our patients and leading our healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical leadership and direction to our healthcare team, ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care.
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other medical professionals to evaluate patients' physical and mental health, and develop treatment plans to address their needs.
  • Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
  • Supervise and mentor medical staff, including medical nurse practitioners, to ensure that they are providing high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in performance improvement projects and contribute to the development of new clinical programs and services.

Requirements:

  • Medical degree recognized by the Georgia Composite Medical Board (GCMB) and licensure or license-eligible to practice medicine at a state institution or in the state of Georgia as provided by state law.
  • Board certification in Family Medicine or a related area.
  • At least two years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
