Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist with a focus on the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in NICU settings, along with 2 years in a CNS role.

Required Certifications:
  • BLS
  • NRP
  • CNS
  • MSN
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement evidence-based policies, procedures, and protocols to enhance clinical practice.
  • Contribute to the creation of educational programs for staff development.
  • Provide educational support and training to nursing staff.
  • Identify and assess competencies necessary for the NICU population.
  • Engage in performance improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in committees alongside medical staff.
  • Offer consultation to nursing staff in clinical, administrative, and educational capacities.
Clinical Inquiry:

Conduct clinical inquiries to evaluate the necessity for practice modifications.

Professional Development:

Utilize advanced clinical expertise and communication skills to mentor and educate nursing personnel and healthcare providers, thereby enhancing nursing practices and improving patient outcomes.

Certification Requirement:

Basic Life Support certification is mandatory.
