About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Public Relations Assistant to join our team in Washington, DC. As a key member of our PR team, you will support brand communications, foster positive relationships with media outlets, and ensure our clients' messages resonate with their target audiences.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and distribute press releases, media kits, and promotional materials to effectively communicate our brand's message.
  • Monitor media coverage and provide comprehensive reports on campaign effectiveness to inform future strategies.
  • Maintain and update media contact lists and databases to ensure timely communication.
  • Coordinate press events, including logistics, scheduling, and follow-up communications to guarantee a seamless experience.
  • Support social media initiatives by creating engaging content and monitoring trends to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align PR strategies with overall marketing objectives, ensuring a cohesive approach.
  • Respond to media inquiries and provide accurate, timely information to maintain a strong reputation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey the brand's message.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite; familiarity with PR software is a plus.
  • Creativity and enthusiasm for storytelling to captivate audiences.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
