Salary and Benefits

The anticipated hourly salary for this full-time position ranges from $23.00 to $24.00, commensurate with experience and dependent on location. Job Description

This Public Relations Executive role is part of our Financial Services PR team, working closely with clients in the corporate and financial services B2B and B2C sector. Key responsibilities include:

  • Compiling targeted media lists, pitching media, and securing earned media coverage
  • Writing, proofreading, and editing client-related documents, including pitches, press materials, news releases, and other editorial content
  • Supporting client media briefings, events, speaking opportunities, and developing award submissions
  • Monitoring, tracking, and reporting earned, owned, and social media coverage of client news and competitor developments
  • Researching industry or program-relevant topics efficiently
  • Participating in client meetings, developing agendas, managing trackers, and drafting meeting reports

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in communications, PR, or journalism
  • Prior work experience or PR internships in public relations (PR agency-based client-based experience is strongly preferred)
  • Familiarity with public relations/communications programs as evidenced through completed college coursework, internships, or related work experience
  • Interest and desire to work in public relations with corporate and financial services B2B and B2C clients
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong verbal and writing skills
  • Experience with research and measurement tools (e.g., Cision, Meltwater) is preferred but optional
