Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to oversee the operations of our grain storage facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agriculture, leadership, and facility management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide operational leadership to ensure efficient commercial execution and maximize grain mix and blend opportunities.
  • Work effectively with the Area Superintendent to maintain facility preparedness, improve day-to-day performance, and process efficiencies.
  • Manage inventory control and grain handling processes, ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental programs.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical defects and operate heavy equipment, ensuring a clean and safe facility.
  • Monitor operational costs, space allocation, and preventative maintenance, and execute safety initiatives.
  • Coach and mentor employees for improved performance, and lead workers, contractors, and service providers.
  • Ensure staff is properly trained on safety and operational procedures, and maintain accurate reporting processes.
  • Work with the Area Superintendent to improve day-to-day performance and process efficiencies, and engage and maintain operational cost control.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business, or a related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in grain handling, storage, or related industry.
  • Leadership and team management skills, with knowledge of safety regulations and environmental compliance.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with proficiency in computer software for data management and reporting.
Additional Requirements
  • Manage and ensure effective inventory control within company requirements.
  • Coaches and provides continuous feedback to employees to improve process efficiencies.
  • Ensure all operational staff is properly trained and comprehend all safety and operational procedures.
  • Works closely with the Area Superintendent to establish and document procedures to improve day-to-day performance and process efficiencies.
