As a Housekeeper Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the housekeeping and laundry departments, ensuring that our hotel guest rooms, public spaces, and other areas are immaculately clean, organized, and sanitary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the hiring, training, and career development of housekeeping employees, and conduct performance evaluations and communicate performance standards to employees.
  • Inspect the level of cleanliness in guest rooms, storage areas, laundry areas, restrooms, and public areas, and report needed improvements to subordinates and managers.
  • Assist in scheduling staff according to standards and forecasted occupancy, and assign daily work tasks to employees.
  • Distribute keys and work assignments to staff while maintaining the security of equipment and other supplies issued.
  • Ensure cleaning and servicing of guest rooms is carried out in a timely and organized manner according to procedures and standards.
  • Notify guest services (front desk) when service is complete so rooms may be sold, and report any room unable to be serviced within appropriate time standards to supervisor.
  • Respond quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner, and report appropriate guest complaints or requests to the appropriate department. Follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Report needed repairs of unsafe conditions to supervisor, and document and communicate maintenance requests to the Engineering Department to ensure hotel service quality standards are met.
  • Assist with the coordination of the ordering and receiving of linen and cleaning supplies to maintain appropriate inventory levels necessary for efficient operation of the department, and assist with monthly linen and supply inventory.
  • Follow company policies and procedures, and effectively communicate them to subordinates.
  • Work with staff to ensure linen cart and supplies are neat and organized to department standards.
  • Work with staff to ensure lost and found articles are turned into supervisor and secured properly.
  • Follow procedures for team cleaning and self-inspecting program.
  • Display a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.

Requirements:

  • Education/Experience: Basic reading, writing, and math. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • At least one year in housekeeping is preferred.
  • Certification and/or License Requirement: None required.
