Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cardiology

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiology team in Newton, Massachusetts.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care in our Cardiology department. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients with cardiovascular conditions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, and providing education and support to patients and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation)
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Requirements:
  • Current MA RN license required
  • Minimum of 1-2 years nursing experience
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
  • Bachelor degree in nursing, preferred
  • Demonstrated clinical competence and experience as required by the specific job posting
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2 years Critical Care experience required
  • Procedural experience preferred (Cath Lab, IR, OR)
  • Moderate sedation experience preferred
Working Conditions:

The RN works in a variety of patient care environments where there may be exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials such as chemotherapeutic agents, radioisotopes, and radiation.

Caring for patients also involves exposure to human waste and other unpleasant elements.

Other duties may include general cleaning with exposure to dirt, odors, cramped quarters, etc.

RN's may work with angry, agitated, and combative patients.
