Cardiovascular Nurse

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiology team in Newton, Massachusetts.
Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate RN to provide high-quality patient care in our Cardiology department. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation)
- Oversee other assigned team members and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide population-specific care in accordance with BORN regulations and professional standards of care
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of patients
- Monitor and report patient progress to the healthcare team
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
- Current MA RN license required
- Minimum of 1-2 years nursing experience
- Strong interpersonal communication, problem-solving, and conflict management skills
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor degree in nursing preferred
- 2 years Critical Care experience required; procedural experience preferred (Cath Lab, IR, OR) unless otherwise noted in job posting
- Previous interventional radiology and/or electrophysiology experience
- Proficiency in IV catheter insertion and IV sedation in an acute procedural setting
- CPR Training required within first 3 months of employment
- BLS/ACLS certification required; PALS within 6 months
The RN works in a variety of patient care environments where there may be exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials such as chemotherapeutic agents, radioisotopes, and radiation.
Caring for patients also involves exposure to human waste and other unpleasant elements. Other duties may include general cleaning with exposure to dirt, odors, cramped quarters, etc. RN's may work with angry, agitated, and combative patients.
