The Extended Care Inventory Sales Support Analyst plays a crucial role in overseeing customer fill rate performance through comprehensive root cause analysis and detailed reporting. This position aims to proactively identify and address potential forecast and inventory challenges while collaborating closely with sales teams as a strategic partner to provide innovative solutions to complex inventory dilemmas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Sales and Inventory Planning teams to conduct thorough backorder root cause analysis and implement effective resolutions.
- Analyze account-level demand trends with urgency, adjusting inventory placement and forecasts to accommodate inconsistencies and fluctuations.
- Identify and manage at-risk inventory investments due to usage changes.
- Execute critical inventory replenishment through on-demand purchasing.
- Facilitate strategic inventory transfers within the McKesson network by placing intercompany purchase orders.
- Oversee procurement of items with unique cost adjustments from one-time vendor agreements, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.
- Support new business onboarding by analyzing historical usage data to validate and assess financial risks associated with proposed inventory investments.
- Enhance demand forecasts based on projected sales increases and provide readiness and demand comparison reports.
- Investigate and resolve forecast discrepancies on relevant items, acting as a key contact and inventory expert in cross-functional discussions.
- Communicate critical supply chain challenges to stakeholders and develop strategic plans for resolution.
- Validate high-demand orders that exceed local stocking levels and communicate fulfillment expectations.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
Education/Training:
A four-year college degree in a related field is highly preferred, though equivalent years of relevant inventory management experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Business Experience:
Experience in inventory management and forecasting, with a solid understanding of demand planning concepts is essential. A minimum of 1 year of experience in Supply Chain or Inventory is required.
Specialized Knowledge/Skills:
Proficiency in analytical reporting tools is required, along with advanced Excel skills, including the use of formulas and pivot tables. Familiarity with Access is preferred.
