Position: Commercial Service Electrician

Davis & Green, Inc. is seeking a proficient Commercial Service Electrician to enhance our workforce. The primary responsibility of the Commercial Service Electrician is to execute expert maintenance, installation, repair, and troubleshooting tasks associated with electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair a diverse range of commercial electrical systems efficiently and professionally.
  • Install, service, and repair lighting fixtures, electrical panels, outlets, and wiring.
  • Identify the root causes of issues and failures in electrical systems to determine necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Install, maintain, and service specialized electrical equipment and machinery.
  • Order materials and supplies, liaising with vendors to discuss requirements and recommend purchases.
  • Oversee apprentice electricians during their training period.
  • Maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment to ensure they are available and in safe working condition.
  • Participate in meetings, workshops, training, and seminars to gather information essential for job performance.
  • Prepare documentation (e.g., repair status, activity logs, work orders) for customers and supervisors to track job progress and provide estimates.
  • Coordinate with other trades to complete projects and work orders efficiently.
  • Respond to emergency situations during or after hours to address immediate safety concerns.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Journeyman's card or 10+ years of experience as an Electrician.
  • Valid unrestricted Virginia driver's license.
