Executive Pastry Chef

Perkins Restaurants seeks an experienced pastry chef to join their team. As a key member of the kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and baking of all food items in the oven. This includes making pies, muffins, cookies, quiche, meatloaf, and ribs. You will also be responsible for adjusting oven controls to regulate temperature, monitoring and maintaining proper food temperatures during hot and cold handling to prevent foodborne illness, and preparing meats or baked foods according to recipe using various kitchen utensils and equipment.
About the JobThe ideal candidate will have previous experience in a bakery or restaurant setting, with a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation procedures. You will work closely with the head chef to ensure that all menu items are prepared to perfection and meet the high standards of Perkins Restaurants.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the preparation and baking of all food items in the oven.
- Adjust oven controls to regulate temperature.
- Monitor and maintain proper food temperatures during hot and cold handling.
- Prepare meats or baked foods according to recipe.
