Job Summary:

The Human Resources Business Partner Intern will provide on-site support at NMG Wisconsin, Wausau, and Berlin. This role is responsible for overseeing all Human Resources activities at the site, including staffing and recruiting, onboarding, status changes, safety, training and development, performance management, and employee relations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee site recruiting, including requisition approval, sourcing, pre-screening, interviews, and offer process
  • Develop processes and procedures to streamline site staffing and recruiting activities
  • Develop processes and procedures to streamline the site onboarding process for employees and contractors
  • Advise employees of leave information, policies, rights, and responsibilities
  • Provide employees with necessary Workers Compensation and/or safety information
  • Develop and facilitate training courses to improve employee development and meet certification requirements
  • Ensure training courses are compliant with state, federal, and certification requirements
  • Assist with career development plans and paths to support individual professional development and organizational succession planning
  • Manage annual Performance Review process to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the site
  • Guide managers/supervisors in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues
  • Implement HR programs, policies, and procedures developed by Corporate HR
  • Respond to audit requests related to HR
  • Participate in site committees or special projects where an HR representative is required
  • Responsible for all HR-related documentation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent business experience
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years experience working in Human Resources
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
