Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the direct management of the healthcare needs of newborn infants in a Newborn Nursery setting. This will involve coordinating care from admission to discharge, conducting comprehensive physical assessments, and documenting care plans and courses of care. The Nurse Practitioner will also provide parent and family education, collaborate with other maternal healthcare providers, and participate in quality improvement activities and education of residents, medical students, and NP students.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, applicants must possess a Master's Degree from an accredited Pediatric or Neonatal program, current Nurse Practitioner certification, and a Maryland NP license. Additionally, the successful candidate will require NRP and BLS CPR certification and a minimum of one year of clinical experience specific to the practice.
