About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Care Technician to join our team at Evolution Research Group. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a critical role in the conduct of clinical trials, ensuring the highest level of care and safety for our clinical trial subjects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Subject Care and Safety: Perform regular safety and status checks on clinical trial subjects, ensuring their well-being and safety at all times.
  • Research Protocol Procedures: Perform delegated research protocol procedures, including vital signs, blood collection and processing, ECGs, and point-of-care laboratory tests.
  • Specimen Management: Ensure the proper collection, processing, and storage of biological specimens, including preparation of specimen tubes and labels, blood specimen collection, centrifuge operation, and shipping of lab specimens.
  • Environmental Safety: Maintain a clean and safe work environment for both employees and clinical trial subjects.
  • Subject Engagement: Engage clinical trial subjects in group activities or one-on-one activities while they are housed on the unit.
  • Logistics and Support: Ensure that clinical trial subjects have access to necessary items, such as linens, toiletries, and snacks.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school degree or equivalent, with one year of clinical experience preferred.
  • Certifications and Skills: CPR certification required, phlebotomy certification (national) preferred, and knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Soft Skills: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, excellent communication and documentation skills, and attention to detail.
