Trauma Coordinator-RN Job Summary

As a Trauma Coordinator-RN at Baptist Health, you will play a critical role in coordinating the transition of trauma patients from inpatient to outpatient care. This involves functioning as a case manager, monitoring patient progress, and identifying potential management problems that may contribute to increased morbidity and mortality or prolonged length of stay.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate patient transition from inpatient to outpatient care
  • Function as a case manager to monitor patient progress and identify potential management problems
  • Collaborate with medical personnel to ensure effective patient care
  • Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and their families
  • Utilize critical thinking skills and computer literacy to manage patient data and research methodology
Requirements:
  • RN with current AR license
  • MSN preferred
  • Five years experience in trauma patient care
  • Advanced skills in critical care nursing and certifications such as CCRN, CEN, TNCC, ATLS, and ACLS
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in an expanded role such as Trauma Coordinator
  • Masters degree in nursing
  • Two years experience in management, preferably in a trauma program setting

This is a full-time position, authorized for 80 hours bi-weekly.
