Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled General Service Technician to join our team at TGK Automotive Specialists. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for performing non-technical automotive service repairs, including oil changes, tire and wheel-related services, and maintaining the cleanliness of our shop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance, and tire rotation with precision and efficiency.
  • Perform oil changes and other basic services under the direction of our Shop Manager or Store Manager.
  • Observe general vehicle condition and point out any obvious needed repairs or safety concerns to our management team.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the service area, tire racks, showroom, and outside the building.
  • Safely transport customers to and from their destination using our company vehicle.
  • Pick up parts, supplies, tires, and other materials from vendors and/or our corporate office.
  • Operate our company vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, obeying all traffic laws.
  • Conduct State Safety and Emission Inspections on vehicles in an ethical manner, following all company and state guidelines.
Requirements
  • 1 year of previous experience in a similar role.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid, clean driver's license, or obtain a valid driver's license within 30 days of hire date.
  • A general understanding of under-the-hood, mechanical, and undercarriage assemblies.
  • Ability to work a minimum of five days per week, rotating Saturdays.
