We are in search of a talented Fire Safety Engineering Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should possess a strong enthusiasm for fire protection engineering and life safety consulting, and be eager to thrive in a professional environment that promotes substantial growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with leadership to execute the operational framework and business strategy for the local market.
  • Serve as project manager for local initiatives, overseeing schedules, budgets, and quality assurance of deliverables.
  • Communicate effectively with project design teams, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Engage in business development efforts to cultivate new and existing client relationships for upcoming projects.
  • Prepare technical reports outlining project-specific building and fire code requirements.
  • Design fire protection systems, including suppression, detection, alarm, and mass notification systems.
  • Review and provide consultancy on project-related design documentation to ensure compliance with life safety codes.
  • Assist senior staff with project-related tasks such as hazard analyses and performance-based design.
  • Conduct reviews of architectural drawings to identify critical egress issues and prepare master egress plans for various projects.
  • Create fire, smoke, and egress models using software such as CONTAM, Pathfinder, and FDS.
  • Develop criteria and review design drawings and specifications for fire sprinkler and alarm systems during project bidding.
  • Classify and quantify hazardous materials per the International Fire Code, producing chemical hazardous analysis reports based on findings.

Qualifications:

  • Must reside in the local metropolitan area.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Fire Protection, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Experience with BlueBeam, AutoCAD, and/or Revit.
  • Active participation in local professional organizations.
  • Able to work independently and collaborate with industry professionals, associated trades, and regulatory authorities.
  • Experience in data centers, automotive/battery manufacturing, semiconductor fabrication, and other industrial environments.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Annual salary range of $95,000-130,000, based on experience.
