Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with physical therapy needs, developing personalized treatment plans, and communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients to determine physical therapy needs and create tailored treatment plans
  • Perform physical therapy treatments, including exercises, modalities, and manual skills
  • Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure effective care
  • Supervise and educate assistive personnel and physical therapy students
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current Physical Therapy licensure in the state of West Virginia or equivalent
  • Eligibility to join the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) or West Virginia Physical Therapy Association (WVPTA)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
  • CPR certification
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience as a Physical Therapist
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to ongoing education and professional development
Work Environment:

The Physical Therapist will work in a home healthcare setting, providing services to patients in their homes. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.

Physical Requirements:
  • Frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and feeling
  • Ability to lift, move, and position patients of all weights
  • Visual acuity within normal range
  • Ability to perform heavy work, exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally
Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to delegate tasks to assistive personnel
  • Time management and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to ongoing education and professional development
