Position Summary

The Sous Chef will assist the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring a safe and hygienic work environment for all staff. Responsibilities include preparing meals in alignment with corporate standards and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee kitchen staff involved in food preparation.
  • Ensure high-quality food is prepared and presented creatively and cost-effectively.
  • Assist in planning, ordering, inventory management, and food preparation.
  • Support cost control measures and manage expenditures.
  • Implement new culinary initiatives in collaboration with marketing and culinary teams.
  • Supervise kitchen staff to maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • B.S. Degree in Culinary Arts, Food Services Technology/Management, or a related field; or A.O.S. Degree in Culinary Arts with specialized training.
  • 3-5 years of relevant culinary experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.
  • Understanding of food cost management and quality assessment.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in high-volume, complex food service operations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with institutional and batch cooking is advantageous.
