AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE ATTENDANT

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Responsible for ensuring a tidy and well-organized area for New and Used Vehicles, the Service Department, Body Shop, and Customer drive-through.

Qualifications:

  • A valid driver's license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) are essential.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Retail experience is not required.
  • A strong work ethic and a positive demeanor are crucial.

Education and Experience:

  • Capability to read and understand instructions and information.
  • Professional appearance is expected.
  • Strong communication skills are necessary.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Parking vehicles from the service area.
  • Maintaining cleanliness in the service department drive, write-up area, and shop.
  • Disposing of trash.
  • Operating the shuttle service.
  • Washing vehicles for service customers.

Physical Demands:

  • The work environment is typically noisy.
  • Regularly required to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and handle tools.
  • Must be able to lift materials weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Frequently works near moving mechanical components.
  • Potential exposure to battery acid, gasoline, cleaning chemicals, or other hazardous materials commonly found in automotive repair facilities.
  • Regular exposure to exhaust fumes or other airborne particles.
