United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County is seeking a motivated and independent professional for the position of Direct Marketing Specialist - Community Giving. This is a seasonal role that supports UWGMWC staff in soliciting contributions from those in the Community Giving division.
Job Summary:The Direct Marketing Specialist - Community Giving role is a temporary position that requires making calls to renewal and lapsed donors, approximately 500 calls or 15-20 hours per week. The successful candidate will accurately record pledges, updated contact information, and pertinent call notes on UWGMWC documentation.
Key Responsibilities:- Make calls to renewal and lapsed donors
- Accurately record pledges and updated contact information
- Provide weekly transmittal of information to appropriate staff
- Attend initial training session and weekly meetings with Account Manager, Leadership and Community Gifts
- High school diploma or general education (GED) with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in sales, fundraising, campaign, or similar role
- Ability to work during afternoon/early evening hours (1pm to 7pm) as needed Monday through Friday
- Must be comfortable making calls and soliciting for funds
- Ability to represent United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County with a consistently professional phone manner and maintain client confidentiality
