Job Summary

Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to join our team as a Prevention Specialist NF4. This role is a critical part of our organization, responsible for developing and implementing prevention and intervention plans and policies that support the well-being of Marines, their families, and the broader community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement prevention and intervention plans and policies to enhance support and programming that strengthens family life and promotes mission readiness.
  • Review and recommend approval or disapproval of program plans and materials, analyzing and developing proposals or provisions in terms of impact on program resource requirements.
  • Conduct reviews of the administration and operation of the program, providing advice and guidance to ensure compliance with federal, state, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in formulating, administering, and monitoring the operating and capital budget for the program area, identifying cost centers, monitoring expenses, and establishing proactive controls to ensure budgetary objectives are met.
  • Provide World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on professionalism and courtesy, assisting internal and external customers and communicating positively in a professional manner.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Education, Community Health, Public Health, Counseling, Behavioral Science, or a related field.
  • Three years of experience in a children's services community organization, with a focus in child abuse or domestic abuse.
  • Ability to develop and implement prevention and intervention plans and policies that support prevention of family problems, including family violence, that negatively impact parenting, anger and stress management, and issues of importance for couples, and detract from mission readiness.
Working Conditions

This is a white-collar position that may require occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. The incumbent may serve in an 'on call' duty status outside of normal work hours, including remaining in a reasonable call back radius, carrying a cell phone or pager, or regularly checking email to respond to emergencies.
