The successful candidate will lead departmental growth, implement a strategic mission and vision, foster a culture of communication and respect, manage staffing and financial resources, and mentor faculty.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on student recruitment and retention, fundraising activities, and development of relationships with industry partners

Qualification Requirements:

  • Current National or State Paramedic certification or equivalent
  • Master's degree in related field
  • 3 years' experience working as a paramedic in a 911 system or other medical provider operating in emergency medical settings
  • Current ACLS, PALS, and PHTLS certifications or equivalent
  • Teaching experience in EMS or other area of medicine
  • Prior management or leadership experiences
  • An academic record to support the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with accrediting body
  • Experience in best teaching practices
  • Previous leadership of an academic department or as a program director
  • Experience developing or assisting in the development of new academic programs
  • Experience as a faculty member within a university that primarily offers undergraduate and masters programs
