Human Resources Director

The Human Resources Director will oversee the human resources function, developing and administering policies and procedures, recruiting and selecting employees, and managing benefit plans.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and administer human resources policies and procedures.
- Recruit, interview, test, and select employees to fill positions.
- Manage and administer benefit plans, working with agents to determine coverage levels and designs, and working with employees on enrollment.
- Advises management on employee relations issues and coordinates management training in areas such as interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment.
- Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
- Conducts wage surveys to determine competitive wage rates and analyzes wage and salary reports to determine competitive compensation plans.
- Develops and maintains a human resources system that meets top management information needs.
- Oversees the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law or local governing bodies.
- Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant employment legislation and court decisions.
- Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster a positive attitude toward Company goals.
- Administers performance management and salary administration programs to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organization.
- Manages worker's compensation programs and represents the organization at personnel-related hearings and conducts investigations.
- Contracts with outside suppliers to provide employee services, such as temporary employees, search firms, or relocation services.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in the human resources field, with experience in manufacturing preferred.
- Experienced in training employees and setting up training programs.
- Must have exposure to workers' compensation administration.
The Human Resources Director will work in a production and manufacturing facility, with occasional work in an office environment.
