Job Summary

The Assistant General Manager at MCR Hotels is responsible for assisting the General Manager in ensuring guest satisfaction, efficient hotel operations, and achieving hotel profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comply with MCR standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Supervise and support hotel departments, including Guest Services, Food & Beverage, and Engineering.
  • Communicate and correct deficiencies in hotel departments.
  • Assist the General Manager in developing managerial and hourly employees through training programs.
  • Participate in Manager on Duty coverage as scheduled.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
Requirements
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
  • Effectiveness in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
  • Ability to work with and understand financial information and data.
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems and company-approved software.
  • High school diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Progressive experience in the hotel industry, including Rooms and Food & Beverage departments.
