Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Buyer to join our team at Viscofan. As a Senior Buyer, you will play a critical role in sourcing and procuring raw materials, packaging, and essential supplies needed for the production of casings and related products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for raw materials, packaging, and indirect goods that align with Viscofan's supply chain objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure optimal pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, contract terms, and delivery schedules, optimizing cost efficiency and mitigating supply chain risks.
  • Work with inventory and production planning teams to maintain optimal stock levels, avoiding shortages and overstock situations.
  • Ensure all purchases comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulations.
  • Manage and mitigate supplier risks by diversifying supply sources.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and process improvements in procurement without compromising quality.
  • Analyze market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supplier performance.
  • Prepare reports on key procurement metrics, including cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory status.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within food processing, with a focus on raw materials, packaging, or indirect goods.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with data interpretation and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and advanced Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in the food, protein, or packaging industries.
  • Knowledge of global supply chain trends, especially in raw materials sourcing and logistics.
