Job Summary

Labor and delivery nurses play a vital role in helping bring new lives into the world. As a Registered Nurse RN Labor and Delivery at Research Medical Center, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of our patients and their families.

About this Unit

  • We have the unique opportunity to create a story for a family and make it the best story ever.
  • Our 24/7 In-house OB Hospitalist Group provides exceptional care to our patients.
  • We offer a range of labor and delivery options, including hydrotherapy, walking while in labor with telemetry monitors, and epidurals.

Responsibilities

  • Under the general direction of the Director, Manager or Nurse Manager, Registered Nurse (RN) coordinates and provides patient care and assumes individual responsibility and accountability for the provision of nursing care.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, applicable state Nursing Practice Acts, ANA Standards of Practice, and the generic and unit structure standards.

Qualifications

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Neonate Resuscitation must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse.
  • Registered Nurse Diploma.
  • Experience preferred in L&D.
