Job Title: Campaign Communications Specialist

CASA Inc is seeking a highly skilled Campaign Communications Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Politics and Communications Department, you will be responsible for managing campaign communications, implementing public engagement strategies, and developing digital content to support our advocacy and public relations campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute political, lobbying, and other message-based campaigns
  • Develop public relations campaign strategies, timelines, and tactics
  • Investigate and implement public engagement strategies to assist members and supporters
  • Coordinate event logistics and interviews
  • Monitor media coverage and make recommendations for increased and improved media coverage
  • Develop and implement proactive earned media outreach and paid advertising campaigns
  • Assist project teams with day-to-day execution of communications campaign work
  • Draft press releases, conduct research, and update status reports
  • Coordinate planning and production of campaign promotional materials
  • Serve as a backup media spokesperson as needed
  • Distribute internal and external promotional materials
  • Write email alerts, develop campaign and outreach materials, and create web graphics and content

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Media, Journalism, or related field
  • Valid US Driver's License and reliable vehicle
  • Minimum of two years' experience in communications or political and grassroots organizing
  • Excellent English/Spanish bilingual speaking and research skills
  • Strong copy-editing skills
  • Strong abilities in Word Press, Word Suite programs, graphic design software, and social media tools
