About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Support Specialist to join our Solano Wraparound team at Seneca Family of Agencies. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing essential counseling and case management services to youth and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Connect youth to community resources and support services
  • Deliver crisis intervention and mental health services as needed
  • Participate in treatment reviews, program staff meetings, and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
  • Complete mental health notes and other paperwork, and service tracking documentation
  • Assist with planning arrangements and transportation for school, therapy appointments, and court hearings
  • Attend team meetings, weekly trainings, individual and group supervisions, and adhere to clinical best practices
  • Participate in providing emergency on-call response as scheduled
  • Utilize crisis communication and de-escalation techniques as per Seneca's crisis response training
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field
  • Applicable experience working with youth or families, or in the social services field
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work some evening hours as needed
  • Be part of a rotating emergency pager system, scheduled with supervisor ahead of time
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies' insurance policy
  • TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements
  • Proof of up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination or an HR-approved medical/religious exemption
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual Spanish skill set
  • Experience working with children in out-of-home care
  • Ability to work as a team player, with diverse population and demonstrates cultural competency
