Position Overview
The Lead Sterile Processing Technician will play a crucial role in managing the cleaning and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment. This position entails coordinating workflows, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations and staff within the Sterile Processing department.
- Coordinate the preparation and decontamination of surgical instruments.
- Ensure the proper functioning of sterilization equipment and processes.
- Conduct performance evaluations and support staff development.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment usage.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of three years of experience in sterile processing or surgical instrumentation.
- Relevant certifications such as CBSPD, IAHCSMM, or equivalent.
Skills and Attributes
