Position Overview
The Lead Sterile Processing Technician will play a crucial role in managing the cleaning and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment. This position entails coordinating workflows, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily operations and staff within the Sterile Processing department.
  • Coordinate the preparation and decontamination of surgical instruments.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of sterilization equipment and processes.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support staff development.
  • Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment usage.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in sterile processing or surgical instrumentation.
  • Relevant certifications such as CBSPD, IAHCSMM, or equivalent.
