Your Role as an Intermediate Care Registered Nurse

We invite experienced nurses to join our Intermediate Care (IMC) Unit as Critical Care Registered Nurses (CCRN). In this role, you will perform patient assessments, develop plans of care, implement and evaluate care, and direct, monitor, and evaluate the care delegated to non-licensed personnel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and document patient assessments at admission
  • Create and revise plans of care based on patient responses to treatment
  • Document outcomes of nursing interventions and patient responses
  • Provide educational materials to patients and families on care and treatments
  • Administer medications and complete treatments according to hospital policy
  • Review new physician orders and ensure they are carried out and documented correctly
  • Notify other departments of orders and services

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Experience in an acute care setting – preferred
  • Experience in an adult intensive care unit (ICU) or adult intermediate care unit (IMC) – preferred
  • Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – preferred
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License
  • Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) Certification – preferred

Compensation Package

We offer a competitive salary of $83,000 per year, which reflects the cost of living in Austin, Texas, and your level of experience. This amount may vary based on individual qualifications and performance.
