Job Description:

Board Certified Psychiatrist – Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)

Impact Health Psych is an affiliate of Impact Health PC, an independent Nurse Practitioner Group that provides contracted support to skilled nursing facilities and assisted living communities throughout the Northeast.

We are currently seeking a Psychiatrist, primarily for consultative support, with at least 3 years' experience in the skilled nursing facility space. Establishing yourself as a mentor, providing consultative support for our Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, LCSW's, Psychologists and Geriatricians will ensure Impact Health maintains high standards of practice our accounts rely on.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consultative support to our team of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, LCSW's, Psychologists and Geriatricians
  • Establish yourself as a mentor and provide guidance on best practices for medication prescribing, treatment and care
  • Collaborate with facility Directors to align our team with their initiatives
  • Stay up-to-date with policies, procedures, and regulatory State statutes of SNF's
  • Ensure compliance with coding, billing, prescribing, documentation and conduct

Requirements:

  • Board certification in Psychiatry
  • At least 3 years' experience in the skilled nursing facility space
  • Strong understanding of policies, procedures, and regulatory State statutes of SNF's
  • Experience related to compliance of coding, billing, prescribing, documentation and conduct

Compensation:

This is a consultative position that requires availability during the work week for calls, consultation and the occasional patient visit necessary for competencies or emergencies. The amount of time needed for on-site will be limited to vacation coverage or situations that necessitate a Psychiatrist.

This role is compensated monthly, based on time spent consulting, attending to patients on-site and/or education of teams.
