Position Overview:
As a member of the Security Department, the employee will report to part-time Event Safety supervisors, who in turn report to the Assistant Managers. The Assistant Managers oversee all personnel through the established chain of command. The security personnel will execute duties related to the event, ensuring the overall safety and security of employees, guests, and clients.

Compensation:
This position offers an hourly wage of $16.00.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist guests throughout the event.
  • Monitor access points to prevent unauthorized entry.
  • Observe guests during entry and exit for any disruptive behavior.
  • Verify credentials of personnel accessing restricted areas.
  • Ensure clear and safe passage in accessible seating areas.
  • Maintain the safety of performers and staff regarding stage security.
  • Oversee guest seating and maintain order in aisles.
  • Implement crowd control measures effectively.
  • Assist in emergency evacuations as necessary.
  • Conduct visual inspections and bag checks in compliance with venue policies.
  • Operate metal detection equipment as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Additional Duties:

  • Complete necessary reports and documentation as per department policy.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, housekeeping, and alcohol control policies.
  • Engage in special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • General knowledge of the security industry, particularly in crowd management at public events.
  • Prior experience in security is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and demonstrate good judgment, courtesy, and tact.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Flexibility to rotate through various positions as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform a full range of body motions, including normal vision and hearing.
  • Frequent standing, walking, climbing, reaching, and handling tasks.
  • Occasional climbing to elevated areas within the venue.
  • Work under stressful conditions with irregular hours and tight deadlines.
  • Capability to lift, pull, or move crowd control barricades weighing between 25 to 75 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in loud environments and with large crowds.
