Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to join our team at ComTec Information Systems. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems that enhance our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop automated systems to optimize production efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain automated systems.
  • Develop and troubleshoot control systems using ladder logic and various PLC programming languages.
  • Work with both Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC systems.
  • Use hand and power tools, multimeters, and/or oscilloscopes for analysis, troubleshooting, and system modification.
  • Manage projects and develop solutions to complex problems.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Requirements:

  • BS degree in electrical or mechanical engineering from an ABET accredited institution or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in automation engineering, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Excellent knowledge of Industrial Ethernet, DeviceNet, Motor Control, VFD Drives, Relays, and Sensors.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to develop, modify, and troubleshoot control systems.
