About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Production Operations Manager to lead our production team at Michael Page. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes, managing a team of production staff, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production Management: Direct, coordinate, and supervise daily production activities to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are met.
  • Material Flow Management: Manage efficient material flow through the department using manpower and equipment effectively.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement continuous improvement plans for equipment and overall departmental processes.
  • Departmental Budgeting: Develop and monitor yearly departmental budget to reduce production and MRO supply costs.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Build collaborative relationships with Planning, Sales, Engineering, Production, and Business Development departments.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with company policies, work rules, and union contracts; resolve work problems as needed.
  • Time and Attendance Management: Maintain accurate time and attendance records and coordinate activities between departments.
  • Production Scheduling: Make daily decisions on production schedules and personnel to ensure timely delivery and quality standards are maintained.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration).
  • Experience: 7+ years of supervisory experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Project Management, and familiarity with ISO procedures. Proficient in applying business math principles to production and inventory scenarios.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills, driven and willing to make change.
